New Perryism, Mofo

Governor Perry defends his pretentious rental home today. Someone finally told him that former Governor Huckabee of Arkansas moved into a trailer home during his state's renovation project. Perry replied, "Yeah, Texas ain't Arkansas."

Perry's lack of media skills continue to amaze me. But, I guess I should get over it....Mofos.

Like many elected officials, Perry has a sense of extreme entitlement to luxury and comfort funded by the taxpayers. Despite the fact that I loathe Huckabee's politics, I have alot of respect for the humility and fiscal responsibility he showed by moving into a trailer during renovation.

Perry's blase attitude about the state spending that much for his rental house is an insult to every person in this state who pays taxes and wants our government to spend money wisely.

No one is really upset about this except the media. That house looks like a thousand other houses in the Austin area. The toilets even work; unlike in the mansion. But I assume everyone wanted the First Family to have outhouses. There are several other houses closer to the capitol that would have cost the state more money, but the real estate in Travis County is unreal. Mrs. Perry found a bargain. PD is out of line here.
