EVERY SINGLE DAY there is a story in the press more horrible than the last about what some ahole has done to his/her kid. Microwave ovens, pet pit bulls, gasoline fires, starvings, beatings..seriously where does this shit end? Why do these people have kids?

Most of the white trash I see in western WilCo is Republican,FWIW. There is no R or D factor in abuse or ignorance. If Bush conservatism hasn't converted Independents to the D side, then its going to get even worse.

I don't see how strangers trespassing and committing other felonies at a kids birthday party makes the parents poor trash or unfit to parent. I can see how a Republican might make that leap though.

And really, you think offering free beer is what makes this story egregious? Do you know anyone with kids? Beer is commonly offered for adults and since most parties don't involve cash bars - it's free.

First of all they aren't exactly trespassing if you've invited them over for "free beer". Which begs the question: why are you having an open door policy for a kids B-day party? Secondly, who throws a beer party for their kid? Lastly, If you DON"T see what's wrong with this story then I pray you never have kids. Say hello to the rest of the trailer park for me.

Didn't Dateline, or one of those "news" shows, recently do a segment similar to this topic? The difference was that upper-middle class, suburban moms were getting together for "wine parties" while their kids were playing and doing whatever it is kids do when their mommies are getting hammered. Now, granted they did not report any stabbings or shootings over the last Natty Light, but these women still got in their cars and drove home drunk with their kids in the car. That's pretty fucking trashy.

PD, your tax bracket does not dictate whether you're trash or not. I see rich, trashy fuckers all over the place: with their 4 spoiled, snot-nosed brats in their gas-guzzling SUVs; around the Domain; at the chair of Senate and House committees, etc.
