Get PINKDOME Merchandise!

Catty. Chatty. And Occasionally Trashy.

President Bush thinks you're retarded

And for once, we agree.

The latest spying on Americans in the name of protecting us from terrorists measure is coming up again. Remember the last time congress was going to vote on this there was a "leaked" threat to the capitol. Bizarrely timed, indeed.

Guess what...measure is coming up again to expand spying on Americans in violation of your civil rights and another terrorist threat is "leaked".

Gee? What are the chances of that?

Now it's called the "Protect America Act" and includes immunity from telephone companies that turned over your phone records to the government. Seriously?

Here's my "Protect America Act" subject to your amendments, of course.
From the Bill of Rights: Amendment III No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law. Amendment IV The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

So pretty much it means to the U.S. Government, "Get your goddamn hands off my stuff. Whether that is technology, digital or paper...you are in violation of the United States Constitution and I'm gonna have remove my wig and kick your ass if you keep trying to get up in my business."
