Dissent to a 51% Mandate
You had better think about it and go crazy. The government will not have to do away with Medicare. All it will have to do is keep lowering the reimbursement to physicians so enough stop accepting Medicare and then what happens? Collapse of Medicare?
And politicians are advocating a national health insurance program? What are they going to do for health care providers? Draft them? Depend on public health departments and charity hospitals to provide care?
P.S. As a Pediatrician, I was not involved in the Medicare mess. I'm viewing this as a soon-to-be Medicare patient, and a worried one at that.
