The Texas Observer has spent two years fighting the DPS for the surveillance tapes in the Capitol on the day that it was rumored Dr. Leininger made his first foray into politics up there. The DPS has lost every challenge, but continues to pay such high-price law firms as Akin Gump and Diamond McCarthy to fight the Texas Observer.

Since the Observer doesn't have tons of taxpayer money to waste, they did what all good press folk do. They posted all those invoices online and asked all of us to go look at them. Once you do, you can probably call the DPS yourself or send a strongly worded letter to the official of your choice.
