Dang, that Humberto was a quick little bastard wasn't he? When I first heard about a storm it wasn't even a storm, but by this morning at 5 a.m. it was a hurricane bringing 16 inches of rain to the coast. That's too fast. I prefer a long, slow approach to a climatic storm. Sixteen inches pounding the coast is too much, too....while we're at it.
DIRTY!
Dang, that Gabrielle, Humberto's older weaker eastern sister, was a small bag of wind. Not even enough rain to relieve the drought in eastern North Carolina...hardly enough to settle the dust at Kill Devil Hills on the Outer Banks.
While Texas soaks, N.C. and the southeast bakes without basting.
