The latest candidate to catch my attention is Alan Steinberg. A 25 year-old from Sugarland, Texas, home of previous douche, Tom DeLay. Alan even has a MySpace page. He's so social networking, this guy!
Why is he a douche? This is why, on his bio this sentence confirms all you need to know about Alan. Opportunist, douche. From his bio:
2001 was a decisive year for Alan; a witness to the tragic Houston flood during the summer and later to the horrors of 9/11, Alan decided to focus his efforts on the issues of homeland security and emergency management.First, in 2001 Alan was 19. Second of all, just because you saw the horror of 9/11 on TV doesn't mean you witnessed it. You witnessed a television broadcast, you douche. The people that had to walk out of the city covered in ash and human remains witnessed the horror of 9/11.
Second, tragic flood? In Sugarland? Really? Were you out there in a skiff rescuing poor people from their roof?
Lastly, I know a lot of people that were affected by 9/11. For kids like Alan, it was the first dramatic event to happen in their lifetimes. A lot of them ran off and joined the military. I'm not sure how many of them thought, HEY! This would be a good time to get into the whole Emergency Management thing, that will be an awesome career move. It sure is a growing industry, Alan, so we'll give you that.
Witness, my ass.
Less Government + Lower Taxes = More Freedom
Why, he sounds just like the repuke *ahem* keyboard commandos who are fighting their much-loved illegal occupation war in Iraq by typing their words. From the comforts of their air-conditioned homes.
Oh, and I just glanced down at the requirement to publish.
adios mofo
ROTFLMAO!
People react to events in their own ways and are always inspired by world events. Back when I was a kid I wanted to be an astronaut, influenced from the countless hours spent at Johnson Space Center and watching shuttle launches on TV. As I got older and I saw ways to make a difference as events unfolded around me. I watched people loose their homes in Houston due to natural disaster, and countless people’s lives have been affected by 9/11. My house did not have to be destroyed and I did not have to be in New York for these events to effect me. I took it on my own accord to learn how to prevent these types of events from happening in the future, and have worked with organizations that try to make a difference. However, government inefficiency and waste hinder our ability to solve these problems. Since 2001 FEMA’s response has only gotten worse to national disasters, and political interference has been shown to end tragically. Having people in government who care more about the people than the politics will lead to solving many problems we currently face.
Ahhh, he's an Aggie. That actually explains a lot.
