I'm not a fan of the TAKS either, but let's see what paraphrasing of a great Texas political quote comes to mind...The TAKS is kind of like a thunderstorm, sometimes you just got to sit back and enjoy it.
Actually, the criticism is with the district-based tests more than TAKS.
All the tests eat up a lot of instructional time.
