What do you think about that?

I kinda think it means you're a pervert, actually, Senator Larry Craig.

US Senator Larry Craig resigned tonight as Senate co-chairman for Mitt Romney's presidential campaign, within hours after news broke of Craig's guilty plea to disorderly conduct after an incident in a men's bathroom.
and then, there's more...
Roll Call, citing the report, said Sgt. Dave Karsnia made the arrest after an encounter in which he was seated in a stall next to a stall occupied by Craig. Karsnia described Craig tapping his foot, which Karsnia said he "recognized as a signal used by persons wishing to engage in lewd conduct."

Roll Call quoted the Aug. 8 police report as saying that Craig had handed the arresting officer a business card that identified him as a member of the Senate.

"What do you think about that?" Craig is alleged to have said, according to the report.

Last fall, Craig called allegations from a gay-rights activist that he's had homosexual relationships "completely ridiculous."

Damn, that Republican closet is about to be empty, I guess. Maybe what's a real threat to the sanctity of marriage isn't the openly gay men and women in the world, but closeted Republican elected officials. Just sayin'.

Note to self: No tapping feet in public bathrooms.

What's the code for wanting to go steady?
Passing a turd underneath the divider?

Also, was this a stake out or did this cop just happen to be pinching a loaf at the same time Craig was there?

I agree, anon, this whole thing just sounds too weird. If it really was a "misunderstanding" like Craig says, then why the hell did he plead guilty? Did he think it was equivalent to a parking ticket? odd.........

He's obviously one of these freaks that wants to get caught, why else shove his business card in the cop's face? The weirdest thing about this whole story is that his arrest is just now coming out two months after the fact. I guess news doesn't travel very fast out of that ass wipe state.

anon at August 28, 2007 11:35 PM

Agreed, but it looks like he handed the cop his business card after he was caught. I think he was trying to get out of it. Obviously a sign that he knew he was screwed and was trying to make it go away fast.

P.S. He was tapping his own feet, he tapped his foot on top of the other guys foot in the other stall, so as long as you don't take a "Rock and Roll Guitar" stance when you pee, you should be ok.

Yucca at August 29, 2007 3:02 PM

sorry for the typo - he WASN'T tapping his own feet.

Yucca at August 29, 2007 3:04 PM

Seriously, can someone explain the fucked up gay subculture in which tapping your feet in a public restroom means you want sex? Who else could come up with this shit?
