The Shame of Texas?

There are so many. Foster children sleeping in an office ranks right up there. How many years in a row are we going to read that the Texas foster care system is broken and not do anything to fix it? As if getting pulled out of an abusive home wasn't going to scar a child enough, the State of Texas has to do something to ensure that the cycle of abuse and neglect continue.

You're doing a heckuva job, Brownie. (AAS)

What's even better is that what's left of Senate Bill 6 aims to phase out those longterm care workers dealing with this pain, now.

Think about this. They are all currently working insane hours, staying with kids overnight when they have their own families at home, and getting paid next to nothing with the knowledge that the state plans on letting them go within the next 3 years.
