Dr. Pou was the courageous doctor that stayed in that hellhole hospital in New Orleans after Katrina and was later arrested and charged with murder in the deaths of four patients. The grand jury refused to indict her this week and I only hope that she can regain her life as it was before that awful tragedy. The Louisiana Attorney General and District Attorney ought to be ashamed of themselves.
The people that ought to be indicted are in Washington, D.C., not the ones that were in a hospital with sick and dying patients with 10 feet of water in the building and no electricity and 100 degree temperatures.
Unfortunately, she's still faced with a slew of civil suits, which will inevitably cost her even more time and money that she has exhausted thus far...
She should be allowed to kick W in the nuts for every hour she of her life she has to spend dealing with this shit. If he gave two shits about this country, Dr. Pou might not have had to make those decisions.

Its not W's fault that their was a hurricane. I mean his magic weather wand was out of batteries that week. She stayed by choice and her situation most likely would have occured reguardless. That being said I think she did the humane thing. The people would have died anyway, she didnt let them suffer. The families should be thanking her. Something like "thank you. I am so thankful that my mother did not suffer." Something to that effect. They are just trying to get a buck.
First of all, yes, she chose to stay there - out of a deep, personal obligation to take care of her patients. God knows we need more people like her around.
Second, it's true W's weather wand may not have been responsible, but if he had given the situation the attention it deserved, there could have been much more favorable outcomes for the patients and the staff.
good post.
