Yeah, but he only wants to fight straight poverty. I'm sure he finds gay poverty icky, and the gay poor make him feel uncomfertable. Except for his gay hair dresser of course.
At least Elizabeth gets it. I understand how certain Dems running for certain offices can feel the need to distance themselves from what they see as unpopular, but it is still disappointing in this case. I think he knows better.
Edwards is a damn hypocrite. He worked for a company that preyed on the poor, of course he claims he didn't realize. This means he's too dim to find out what the company he is working for really does, or more likely he was too interested in the salary they offered him to care what they did. That makes him greedy, and that makes him a hypocrite.
Agree with BacchusXY. Edwards is a fake and a hypocrite. Nothing more to say.
It is crucial for this country to have a candidate that recognizes the importance of fighting poverty within the US and around the world. Edward not only plans on improving the lives of Americans, but positively gives back to countries that desperate needs help. I support Edward for his stance on pulling out of the war in Iraq and put the American people’s money into good use. According to the Borgen Project, an organization helping to fight global poverty, $340 billion dollars has been spent for the Iraq war. However, it only takes $19 billion dollars annually to end world poverty and $23 billion dollars to reverse the spread of AIDS and Malaria. This country definitely needs a president that understands the fundamental issues and problems such as poverty that needs to be addressed and solved.
