This isn't about politics, either but I need a break so deal. A businessman in California is being sued by contractors and former employees for creating a hostile work environment. In the complaint, it's been revealed that he build a network of secret tunnels and rooms under his estate in Laguna Hills to be used for his sexcapades with prostitutes and to indulge in illegal drugs. Ah, the good life...right? Ew. That's just creepy. An underground sex lair?
The story also mentions how this CEO has a seedy past in granting stock options and generally skirting corporate business ethics all the way around, so the drugs, hookers and sex lair should come as no surprise. I used to do business with people in California, until I got tired of coming home and having to take a Silkwood shower to scrub the skeeve off of me. Now, I would never do business with people in that state. They have zero moral and business ethics. (*Warning* broad stereotypes alert!!) Every person I've ever done business with out there made me uncomfortable with the amount of disregard for anything other than getting their hands on people's money. I remember one office in Orange County. I drove into the parking lot of a low-slung office complex. Full of small office suites with 'global headquarters' underneath the name of the company. Even the receptionist was driving a Hummer. It was then that I realized that right here in Orange County is where people are just scamming middle America hillbillies out of all their money. Then they leave the office, get in their expensive BMWs, go get on their fancy boat and do cocaine all afternoon.
It reminds me of Dallas.
