Potato Salad, Huh
potatosalad.jpg

Oddest quote I've read in a while - from a Houston Chronicle story about Dan Patrick:

"He's like an uninvited picnic guest who shows up with nothing in hand, eats all the potato salad and spoils the picnic for everyone else," said a senator who requested anonymity in order to assess Patrick candidly.
A little help deciphering that, please?

dude looks drunk off of potato salad in that picture

I don't know what is harder to look at: the potato salad or Patrick.

Here's an example for SW to follow better: he's like that guy you kind of know that shows up at Hooters and drinks all your pitchers, doesn't offer to pay, then pinches the waitress's ass and gets everyone thrown out.

Better?

I think you can translate it to mean Whitmire thinks Patrick sucks.

Hey PD,
When did you decide to become big brother and censor our comments? That

anon at May 9, 2007 11:36 AM

I seriously doubt anyone's censoring your comments. More likely:
1) you forgot to type "adios mofo", or
2) you tried to use html code, which we don't accept due to spam concerns.

Regardless, one of us will look through the past comments to see if something you posted didn't get published.

SW,
I keep getting this message that my comments will be approved and posted at some point, this has happened twice, and if I'm using html code, why are my other posts making it?

anon at May 9, 2007 12:16 PM

Patrick may be an ass, but there are some picnics that deserve a skunk. This legislative session may be the best case in point.

Anonymous at May 9, 2007 2:59 PM

If it's that kind of party, Dan's gonna stick his dick in the potato salad!

DollarWells at May 9, 2007 9:19 PM

anon, I found your comment from earlier today stuck in the junk comments. You had forgotten to enter "adios mofo" at the bottom.

SuperWow! at May 9, 2007 10:41 PM

Oops, thanks

Some zombies eat brains. Others head right for the tater salad.

Dave In A Cave at May 10, 2007 8:05 AM

The chicken Senator cleaned up the story for print. The version I learned a child involved the uninvited guest defecating in the potato salad, then boasting about his contribution to the event.

pfft at May 10, 2007 9:37 PM

How about Patrick as the guy who brought the potato salad his wife made but he left it in the car unrefrigerated for 8 hours. Everyone who came in contact with it got sick.
