Disavow, Disassociate, Disturbia

Dewhurst has disavowed the letter the came from his office regarding the voter ID bill. I read the letter. He should disavow the letter for the right reason, though. If you want the bill pushed through, fine...that's your stupid political opinion. If you are pissed off at the people preventing the bill from coming to the floor...fine, that's your perogative. But...this letter? It's written by a fucking idiot. That's why you should disavow the letter.

Excerpts:
Friends, you and I know that freedom is not free. (Thank you Lee Greenwood)
I believe protecting the sanctity of American elections is critical to the future of our nation.
(Does this contradict the sanctity of marriage? That's really all anyone in the legislature has ever talked about sanctifying.)
Seriously, how can any American argue that this requirement is too onerous? Seriously? You're being sassy now? OMG! WTF?
How many legitimate American votes were canceled out by illegal voters? Gee, we don't know but since you are so alarmist about it like it's the new plague we'll guess fifteen million! OMG! Democracy is doomed! Someone help us!!! The only thing protecting us from this new plague and the fall of civilization is the.....Voter ID Bill!!!

Fucking morons. The whole lot of ya.

Why doesn't someone in favor of this bill make an honest statement like: "Those fire ants racing up from Mexico are so damn good at faking SS numbers cards and other legal documents so they can work here, we don't want them fucking about in our elections as well".

I know this goes against the left's campaign to try to once again make this about suppressing black votes, but I'm not sure how many people believe that, well, other than the blacks.

...isn’t Dewhurst a synonym for the term “douche bag” anyway?

Such as...That Lt. Governor we have sure can be Dewhurst sometimes.

Thank you.

FYI Dewhurst: As much as you might think otherwise, any photo ID issued by the state of Texas doesn't prove you're an American only that you have some residency tie to the state. What proves citizenship: your birth certificate and passport. Good luck getting a passport these days as it can take up to 6 freaking months to get one.

I am not trying to be stupid, I just honestly don't understand why anyone would object to showing an ID to vote. I show it for a thousand other things that are far less important. Could someone tell me without rhetoric why you should be able to vote simply on your honor when there is not one other thing in society you can do without showing some ID?
