As God as my witness....

The voter ID bill will not come up for a vote. So says the 11 Dems in the Senate, including Gallegos. The Senator is back in Austin even though he is still recovering from a liver transplant so he can be a voting member that will prevent the bill from coming to the floor.

Senator Gallegos opposes the voter ID bill and his litmus test for legislation is one which many of the legislators should use. Gallegos said, "When a bill is introduced, I like to look at it and go, 'What's the purpose? Are you going to help my constituents?' "

A few of us fell asleep in the gallery waiting for it to come up yesterday. And Dewhurst is quoted in the statesman today, says he's waiting for his opportunity. Try not to think about that too much, the wingnut prayers to jebus in heaven, hopes and dreams riding on an old sickly man collapsing so they can bring jim crow back around.

"Are you going to help my constituents?"

He is going to help much more than them. All he has to do is show up. I know one thing, when all else fails nothing gets you out of bed like spite.
