Ben Barnes Back?

I suppose it's "old" news by now, but QR and a few other outlets are reporting that some Texas Ds are kicking around the idea of getting convincing Lieutenant Governor Ben Barnes to challenge Senator John "I <3 Bush" Cornyn in 2008.

According to Capitol Letters, Barnes said:

"They're friends and they're Democrats and I what I said was that I wasn't going to issue a flat-out denial," Mr. Barnes said afterwards. "But I'm not making any calls. And I'm not doing anything. I'm just listening, OK?"

Because if tolling existing roads isn't gay, what is?

While there's nothing illegal about making a phone call, Barnes could get caught up in this story:

I wonder about the use of "gay" an adjective meaning stupid or worse. Then I also wonder is tolling of existing road something gay people would inherently do. The Gays, at least the males, tend to have a larger disposable income so they shouldn't mind tolls as much, and they, again the males, tend to be a tad elitist, so keeping the rabble off the roads might also appeal to them. Then again as a gay I, and many of my friends, prefer to spend our disposable income on hookers and blow, so we have no money for toll roads.

Going off topic is so f'in straight!
