Obsession with Pedophiles

The Texas Legislature is obsessed with pedophelia this session, maybe it's contrition for how they all managed to rape the children last year with the education debacle and the CHIP debacle and the foster care debacle. Wait a second, why exactly do we trust the lege to do anything right by Texas children again?

Making it a death penalty offense to sexually abuse a child makes for really good headlines thogh.I guess that makes it alright. After all, nothing beats a good sounbyte does it?

This will be challenged immediately and struck down immediately IF it passes.

This is an exercise in futility.

Having personally covered trials--as a reporter--in which is was obvious that crazed spouses were launching sex abuses allegations at each other, I find it amazing that anyone would consider this crap. Oooooh. I'm tough on crime....look at me!
