Dwayne Bohac's door last Friday

This photo was taken last Friday on bill deadline day. The photographer says:

Apparently Rep. Bohac is either A) too whored out already or B) unwilling to file bills that will help his district.

Note: The small bit above the "WE MEAN IT!!!" says, "Unless you are from Leg Council". If you were wondering.

If the local officals from his district hadn't circulated all of their legislative needs to him by the bill filing deadline, that's their own damn fault. A member can only bend over backwards until he/she gets to his/her own ass... Or something like that. Good for him for giving his staff a much needed break.

People got the whole damn interim and two months of session to find a legislator to carry their bill. Hell, the damn things were supposed to be over at Lege Council a couple of weeks before the deadline. If a lobster is scurrying around the halls on Friday trying to find a home for his masterpiece...well, better luck next time.

Give me a break. That doesn't affect his constituents one bit, and in fact probably serves them well. Anyone who's been around the capitol knows what that sign really means. Lobbyists - not constituents - roam the halls of the capitol at filing deadline. Cheers to Bohac.

So I'm guessing the previous three replies were all of Bohac's staff?

I used to be on Lege Council. :)
That was a pretty sweet part time gig.

PanzerDSS at March 15, 2007 11:06 AM

Er, no. I work for the Lege, but not for a member.

Re, Wizard: I work at the UN. Doesn't everyone?
