Texas: Tax Capital of America

A story last week said NYC was the most taxed city in America. Not shocking, it takes a lot to run that city. What is interesting that cities in Texas make up 33% of the top nine cities that have the highest taxes on its residents. Interesting, considering we tout our lack of a state income tax so proudly around here.

San Antonio, Houston and Dallas make the list. That's also interesting because you'd really think the list would include Austin since it gets so much flak for being so 'liberal.' Someone, somewhere out to take a look at that because taxes totally suck balls, yo.

The list was for cities over 1 million. Austin isn't there yet, is it?

We tax consumption, not income. That way, poor people pay more taxes, dagnabbit!
