Jet Blue was on my shit list last week. If I'm going to be held hostage for 8 hours on a plane in New York I fully expect terrorists with scary guns, not raging incompetence from airline staff. Their full page ad yesterday ran coast to coast. I appreciate the fact that the CEO recognizes the damage done to his company's reputation and he is genuinely apologizing and vowing to improve.
If only more companies (and people) would simply acknowledge their mistake and apologize I believe we'd all be better off. Of course, if American Airlines ever started to apologize it would probably take a week of full page ads just to get started on trying to make up for the shortcomings.
It's Friday tell us what other companies (or public people) should just apologize and for what.
