- Most of the Democratic possibilities for President have posted their responses to the State of the Union last night. . . except for Obama and Hillary. What's up with that?
- McCain seemed to find it very lulling [HuffPo].
Maybe he's just thinking with his eyes closed, facing downward, seeming to snore. . .
- John Kerry is NOT running for Prez. You may now breathe a sigh of relief.
- The Senate Foreign-Relations Committee refused Bush's Iraq escalation plan [BBC]; the full Senate gets to vote on it next week.
Nero fiddled.
Bush strummed.
McCain slept.
The media's annointed emperor-to-be just isn't cut out for the job any more.
2000 was his year and Rove's dirty tricks -- does he know any other way? -- stopped him dead in his tracks. It's been downhill ever since he got off the "Straight Talk Express" (one of the most brilliant media manipulations of our time... surpassed only, of course, by the selling of this epic foreign misadventure).
Bye bye, John. We hardly knew ye.
