Catty. Chatty. And Occasionally Trashy.

Strategic Preparedness

I don't know if you're going to work today, but I've been up since 6:30 with the whole 'Disaster Plan Implementation' competing with my morning coffee for my attention. We're busy communicating with staff and deciding what parts of Texas we can and cannot expect to be operational today. This book on our plan is thick, yo. It's nice we've got a checklist to go through, but some of it is 'best guess,' which is unsettling.

Me, I've got to make my way south and east this morning. My personal goal is to get back to the city before the weather changes here this afternoon. If any of you receive a call from me that says I'm stuck at some gas station in a rural part of Texas, I'm hoping you'll immediately send National Guard helicopters to airlift me back to my luxurious pad in downtown!

If the power goes out tonight or tomorow I have a lot of champagne to drink before it gets warm.
