A Future First Family Portrait?

The Christmas Card from John Edwards arrived via email (which is a tacky way to send a Christmas greeting, btw). Wishing me a happy holiday, the Edwards family thoughtfully included a picture of their daughter in a skirt that is entirely too short for a family portrait.

Must agree about the skirt.

Well, maybe the parents decided this was not the hill they were going to die on. Who cares, really?

chavela at December 21, 2006 8:30 AM

Well, Elizabeth Edwards looks great. I hope she's doing better nowadays.

bluebonnet at December 21, 2006 8:31 AM

And if I had legs like that, I'd probably wear a skirt like that too.

bluebonnet at December 21, 2006 8:31 AM

You can tell that she picked the outfit herself-- the layered look and the shortness of the skirt wouldn't be a stylists's choice.

And yes, she's old enough to dress herself-- she's actually about 25, not sixteen like she looks in the picture.

Are the NOW's going to start bashing this beautiful young lady or will the Nasty Old Whores stick their feet in their mouth's once again?

Don R. at December 21, 2006 11:50 AM

Too short? I beg to differ.
Come on lefties, you being all judgemental and shit? What's that all about?
I wonder if Edwards is going to pimp out his daughter the way Al Gore did with that idiot Kareena. I've got my fingers crossed that he does and that she wears that skirt. mmmmmmmmmm.

anon at December 21, 2006 1:11 PM

I agree!!! I got that same email and I thought WTF? But then I couldn't stop staring at her legs... then I couldn't stop thinking "Edwards '08... Edwards '08..."

Great photo.

Pink Lady is going to be sooooo jealous. Teach her to take off to the frozen north.

pffft at December 21, 2006 7:59 PM

Yeah, will he pimp his daughter out the way that the Shrub did with Jenna and non-Jenna? I just loved their drunken hoochie antics.

Locutor at December 22, 2006 8:29 AM

Cate, the Edwards' oldest daughter, is a 24 year old former valedictorian of her high school, Princeton grad with honors and now is attending Harvard Law. Good, smart kid, Don't think she'll be the embarrassment that Jenna and Barb were/are.

Cody at December 22, 2006 11:04 AM

josh - I heart that Obama family photo.

bluebonnet at December 22, 2006 2:06 PM
