You know what I don't get? That Toll Party/PETPAC/nonsense anti-toll road group that would rather throw bombs at the table instead of having a seat at it. I got an email from them, railing against Valinda Bolton for no particular reason. Personally, I think Valinda is fantastic, and she'll do a great job as a state representative. Anyways, the thing that pissed me off the most about the email was this...

"Valinda Bolton moved here last year so that she could run for this political office and I find it contrived to think that we can trust a political opportunist who has not lived here long enough to understand the transportation issues we face, and one that has lied to us so quickly."

You'll remember these were the same nutjobs that rallied around Leininger whore Nathan Macias back during the primaries for HD-73. A cookie cutter candidate who was recruited and moved into the district right before the campaign in order to run for office. A guy who had not lived in the district long enough to understand any local issues, let alone complicated transportation ones. A guy whose campaign was almost exlucIusively funded by one man outside of the district. I find it contrived to think that we should listen to a group that supports one political opportunist while screeching about a well qualified candidate that is solid on the issues. They'd rather we have another rep beholden to Bob Perry and Jim Leininger as opposed to the voters of the district.

If you are in southwest Austin, go vote for Valinda Bolton.
