Some folks in Austin are all up in arms over a proposed Marriott downtown that would tear down some little restaurant that's been there since 1981. My opinion? STFU. Tear down the building, move the restaurant and put up a friggin monstrosity hotel for Chrissakes. Austin consistently loses out on conventions because we don't have enough hotel rooms. Plus, cities grow. The evolve. Shit gets torn down. Get over it and embrace the fact that Austin is finally getting a city center.
