John O'Quinn, who recently dropped a cool $1 million into Chris Bell's coffers, has come back with an additional $1.5 million. The money will help keep Bell's ads on TV for another 9 days from today. To date, this means that O'Quinn is responsible for almost half of the cash Bell has raised since January 2005.
Burka made a good point yesterday:
How do you think the trial lawyers who have backed Strayhorn's campaign feel today? All that money wasted and John O'Quinn, who is not beloved by his peers, in the spotlight. The strategic plan of the Strayhorn campaign--to be the only contender with the money to go toe-to-toe with Perry on television--has failed.O'Quinn's getting all the press for funding Bell's campaign ... and the trial lawyers got to spend their money on the grandma that wants to shake stuff.
Those same trial lawyers who supported Carole should hang their heads in shame. The same goes for Ben Barnes and Tony Sanchez...rat fuckers.
TOG - The thing is, you've been whining on and on (and fucking on) about Ben Barnes and Tony Sanchez on here and other blogs. And I agree with you. They're rat fuckers.
But, my question, a sincere one - did you think they were good guys BEFORE they gave Grandma money?
Enough already. Everyone here agrees with you.
More Cowbell baby!
Very nice.
I think more and more people are coming to the realization that they like the idea of a Strayhorn candidacy more than they like Strayhorn herself.
And I think that goes double for Friedman...
Preach on, TOG. You never know when people are going to tune in to a particular topic. One shouldn't assume that everyone knows they're ratfuckers yet.
Choir, point taken, I'm just trying to shake things up in Austin, Thanks, Lush. xerixes, I agree.
Also, choir, please tell Burkablog that. As much as he writes about this stuff, I don't think he gets it.
Other Guy, I think he gets it. It's interesting, is it not, that O'Quinn is spending million(s) on a candidate he must know has a slim, slim chance of making it to the mansion. Is it idealism, or is it marketing? Burka thinks it's marketing. I think he gets it.
/Cynic? Moi?
What about this?
