- The Houston Chronicle has an excellent look at the life of Ann Richards. Her family is asking that any memorial gifts be given to the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders through the Austin Community Foundation. A memorial service will be held at the Erwin Center at noon on Monday [AAS Blotter]. Prior to that, she will lie in state at the Capitol on Saturday (9:30-8pm) and Sunday (9am-8pm).
On a less serious note:

But he has said he would legalize pot for medicinal purposes.
There is a big difference between "legalize", which Kinky did not talk about, and "decriminalize", which he did advocate.
