Did you know the Texas Department of Criminal Justice provides a handy database of the last words of inmates just prior to their execution? I read through many of them. Aside from the predictable, "I didn't do it," there were a few realizations that hopefully spread the word that crime doesn't pay. If you are anti-capital punishment you'll focus on the ones where convicted criminals claim innocence and cry for the injustice of our courts. If you are pro-capital punishment you'll focus on the ones where the convicted criminals repent for their sins and ask forgiveness.
Something for everyone! Milton-Bradley should jump on this. [via Boing Boing]
Thanks for that little pick-me-up.
Interesting stuff. Pictures and everything.
HEYWAITAMINUTE! All the non-asian-americans are stealing all the GOOD capital crimes! (oh dear my irrepressible, sardonic wit. what WILL I say next?)
