Count Seaman the Ethicless

countseaman.jpgVia BOR, today's Corpus Christi Caller-Times has an great article on one of our favorite elected officials, Rep. Gene Seaman.

First off, I just can't get over the picture they use in the article. More and more, he looks likes someone done up in full stage make-up for a vampire movie. Or Mr. Burns as a vampire. Yep, that's it.

Moving along, the article details how Seaman, since 2002, has paid to his wife over $126,000 in campaign contributions as "rent" for an Austin condo. He actually paid the rent to Austin Land Co., which is owned by Seaman's wife - and isn't registered with the Secretary of State, thus hiding the true owner of the condo. As BOR points out, Seaman's response is to blame the wife. After all, no one wants accountability in an elected official anyway.

And I'm sure you're thinking the same thing: does Seaman's wife know about his boi toy?

I grew up in Corpus, or, as I think of it, Brain Damage City. I bet Seaman gets re-elected, by a landslide.

The people will complain about taxes, gas prices, medical care but will not vote these dirtbags out of office.....

I imagine that Mr. Burns is insulted by the comparison.

The voters of Corpus Christi must be very proud this week to disocover that the insurance salesman they have repeatedly sent to represent them in Austin is also a tax cheat who, when discovered, blames it on his wife.

I see Vickie Truitt also got caught doing this which doesn't surprise me. She represents everything wrong with elected officials. It's bad enough that she's furniture, she is also looking to profit from campaign contributions. She's a joke.
