So Rick Perry's been raising a hub-ub about how the comptroller awarded a contract of $47,000 to the firm that her brother works for. That's uncouth and all, but c'mon, $47,000? The same day the press release for this went out, we learned that "Perry's top donors get business, appointments".
Donors that give him $100,000 get a private meeting. Three huge donors got contracts to help build the Trans Texas Corridor. Furthermore, "the state has deposited millions in investment funds operated by three other top-tier givers. And 16 are Perry appointees to coveted boards, including the Parks and Wildlife Commission and state university regent boards."
Today we learned that a top Perry aide left the Gov's office to work for the Spanish company that got the $7 billion dollar deal for the gov's highway plan. And don't even get me started on Bob Perry's TRCC. Millions and billions compared to $47,000? I think Rick needs a new plan of attack.
