Catty. Chatty. And Occasionally Trashy.

There is a whole world outside of Austin

and Carole Keeton Strayhorn is tapping into that well with some strong support. Every blog, every newspaper seems to dismiss her candidacy with flippant remarks about her name or her nickname. Everyone seems to forget that in her last statewide election she received more votes than all of them. Carole Keeton Strayhorn is a real candidate with some real cash. But, she just can't get no respect in Austin. I like Carole. There, I said it. I don't know if I'd vote for her, but I like her. I like the way she says 'fuck you' to folks in Austin without really coming out and saying 'fuck you'. That's classy, you know.

Wow, looks like she got AAS to print her talkingpoints verbatim!

Strayhorn deserves a little love from the press. After all, Bell just had his moment in the spotlight. http://pinkdome.com/archives/2006/08/bells_ink.html

Strayhorn still may emerge as the best shot to unseat Perry. We just won't know until the debates which way the general public is swinging. While I haven't decided who I'm voting for yet, I do know that I'm not voting for Bell just because he says everybody else sucks. Bell needs to inspire people and give us a reason to vote FOR him, but so far, he's been a pretty lame messenger.

Travis County Dem at August 8, 2006 10:03 AM

I'm voting for Bell but I've heard what TCD is saying on more than one occasion. C4N3P is actually pretty well liked by most in Travis County.

This statement from the article says it all:
"Got guts," Snyder said of Strayhorn. "She's got that fierce Texas spirit that we don't see much anymore."

Teacher at August 8, 2006 1:09 PM

The only one who has any true spirit is Kinky Friedman. He is becoming very popular with youg voters even in South Texas.

I haven't been up to anything today. I can't be bothered with anything recently. Nothing seems worth thinking about. I haven't gotten anything done recently, but oh well. Not much noteworthy going on worth mentioning.

Sten93917 at January 30, 2007 2:21 AM

Not much on my mind lately. My life's been completely boring these days. I've just been hanging out not getting anything done. So it goes.

Sten9274 at January 31, 2007 8:55 AM

I just don't have much to say these days, but so it goes. Today was a total loss. I guess it doesn't bother me.
