The lies come to her in a dream

Kathy Walt, the embattled spokeswoman for Governor Perry, goes deep into a trance to create the fatastic and creative levels of bullshit she passes off as communication.

Here's the latest example: Dude works for big highway building company wanting to build toll roads across Texasarrow.gifDude gets job on Governor's staffarrow.gifToll roads contract awarded to dude's former employerarrow.gifDude leaves governor's office and is employed by dude's former company that received the contract for the road development as a lobbyistarrow.gifDude lobbies governor and legislature to make sure company doesn't lose contract.

That's the backstory. Here's Kathy Walt's hilarious dismissal of any appearance of impropriety:
"Gov. Perry has the strongest ethics policy that any Texas governor has ever had," said Kathy Walt, Perry's spokeswoman.

Ta. Da. I give you Texas politics. It's an amazing educational experience in just how dumb the governor's office and his staff think we are. I guess that's ok, because I think a lot less of them than they think of me.
