Oh gawd I don't know why I'm bringing this up again, but Bush's statement to Tony Blair is just dumb. The big deal shouldn't be that the man said the word shit, I mean for fuck's sake, everyone curses (do not throw Adios Mofo in our face, that's a problem with a jackass trying to be cool). The hubub should be about the entire statement:
"See the irony is that what they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this shit and it's over" Bush told Blair as he chewed on a buttered roll.
How is that ironic? The leader of the free world can't understand basic literary techniques. He can't even take the butter roll out of his mouth to talk. Hmmm, get terrorists to stop killing people, that'll take care of things. HOW IRONIC!
That's not irony, that's common sense. You might as well throw that statement into an Alanis Morrisette song. "A free ride, when you've already paid"...that's not ironic, that's a scam.
Yeah, but I bet he really meant "ironing."
It's like RAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNN!!!
...isn't it moronic...?
He's making Rick Perry look like the really qualified replacement. It's all part of their Texas strategy.
Good point. It's not irony, it's a bummer. The only irony in Alanis' song was the line about the guy on his first airplane flight, and as it crashes, he says,"isn't this nice?" You get an A.
