Quick: what are the two most pressing issues facing the American populace?
Rising energy costs? Threat of terrorism at home and abroad? Rising health care costs? Wrong, wrong, wrong. Apparently y'all don't know anything about securing our American values, which are under attack by liberal, gay, atheist, activist judges with lighters and cans of gasoline.
Dear Leader Sen. Frist's top two priorities are constitutional amendments banning gay marriage and flag burning, both of which he intends to bring to the Senate floor within the next few weeks.
Now, I know what you're thinking: this is nothing more than pandering to the conservative base with a midterm election quickly approaching. And you're right. Look, the Republicans have tried that whole "governing" thing, and it hasn't worked out too well. So they're going back to what they do best: scaring Americans into voting for them.
PDers, get ready for a frightening election season. Before you know it, you'll realize that traditional marriage is under attack, illegal immigrants are here to kill you and your family, your children will soon be studying Gay 101 in public school, and liberal secularists want to burn the Bible.
Update: any suggestions on how we battle the right's politics of fear and hatred?
About time someone started focusing on the important issues. Just last week I had to shoo off some gay married al Queda wetbacks who were trying to burn the flag I fly on my Suburban.
That's great, but what are we going to DO about it? How do you fight the politics of hate and fear? How about a discussion on that instead of screaming like a bunch of nelly queens and making jokes.

Hi, welcome to Pinkdome. In case you haven't noticed, almost all of our content is derived from screaming like a bunch of nelly queens and making jokes. Deciding what to do about it is for the real world, which, frankly, is kinda boring.
You're free to carry on a discussion about how to battle the politics of hate and fear, but I'd recommend dailykos or mydd or any of the other numerous liberal blogs that are oriented around serious discussion.
We just like to make fun of shit. If a good discussion happens to stem from that, then all the better.

I love jokes and nelly queens as much as the next guy, but there are ocassionaly on this blog some serious discussions that can still be funny. And I must agree with Trey, your photoshop skilz are scary good.

Wonk, just because we talk about gay stuff here and support gay rights doesn't mean this is a gay blog. It isn't a gay blog. That being said, suck my cock.
