Sid Miller is sad

sidmiller.jpg I met up with some folks that had been at today's State Affairs Committee hearing for drinks at the Four Seasons. After we discussed our day, one of them showed me their notes from the agenda and list of folks invited to testify. Side note: Martha Wong was a no-show at today's hearing.

It was there in the margin that the artist's rendering of today's meeting got a laugh out of all of us. Apparently Sid just looked crochety during the whole meeting. I guess hearing about a DNC (not the Democratic National Committee, dufus...the medical term) and hearing from Texans for Life Coalition and NARAL Pro-Choice Texas people all afternoon had just put him in a foul mood.

It's nice to know even serious policy people get bored to tears in some of these meetings. I've been to a few and thought I'd gouge my eyes out if I couldn't just get up and walk out...because I can do that. Remember? I don't give a shit about any of this stuff anyway. These poor folks are forced to sit there and doodle while some wingnut goes on and on about life begins at conception. Personally, I think life begins when you're old enough to vote against a raging hemorrhoid like Sid Miller.

Hey Sid, don't be so crochety...nobody's advocating anything to do with your uterus. The least you could do is pay attention.

SInce I am probably the only resident of Sid's district that reads the Pink Dome, I felt compelled to respond.

This is the best pic I have ever seen of Sid. The only thing missing is the horse he is sitting on everytime he is actually spotted in the district.

Everyone must realize that Sid's facial expression is his normal scowl. It couldn't have been prompted by the tedious testimony because there is no way he could follow testimony that included words longer than two syllables.

Well Hey there Nancy. You should move! Better yet, tell all your friends to read...maybe they'll learn something.

Nancy shouldn't move! She should stay put, and find someone who is not such a sourpuss to run against Mr. Grumpy, "Hey! you Kids, Stay OUTTA my Yard",

We have a candidate - Ernie Casbeers. You should check him out. He is a nice guy; government/history high school teacher. Woefully unfunded to beat Sid but working at it extremely hard.

I wish someone somewhere would get behind him and push.

He could really make a difference but, unfortunately, he is underneath the statewide radar out here in the wasteland.

I guess the statewide party has given up on this seat. What a shame.

Sid's retirement may be sooner than you think, Nancy. Ernie Casbeer's campaign is picking up steam.

Keep hope alive.

Hi. I can't read the right hand side of your pages--the blue boxes are in the way.
