College Republicans at Penn State decided that the best way to educate the student body about the immigration issue was to . . . you guessed it, hold a Catch an Illegal Immigrant Game! A current student at the school defended the group, saying,
"You have to be creative to get students to listen to you," sophomore Chuck Knight wrote in a letter to the editor published recently in the student newspaper, The Daily Collegian. "For that matter, you have to be creative anytime you are trying to raise concern about something."Now we are all about creativity and expressing yourself. We like drunken party games as much as the next person, and obviously we are not always politically correct. However, there is a line that should not be crossed. Did we learn nothing from UNT's experiment with the same idea over a year ago?
This is from the state that voted Rick Santorum into office, not that that really explains anything.
