New Attack Mailer Turns Up In Capitol

People going into their Capitol offices today found an attack mailer shoved underneath their door. Texans For No New Taxes put together the mailer attacking the "Perry Tax Plan Disaster". It says that the House voted for the largest tax increase, and it urges people to contact their senators to vote against it.

This seems like one of those astroturf groups, big money set up to look like a grassroots movement, but whatever, a hit on Perry is a hit on Perry. At the least it's a chunk of his base coming out and attacking him.

Yeah, it's a hit on Perry - and really it's specifically against Perry. I wonder who is really behind this astroturf movement - is it one of Perry's competitors, or basically just a pro-business lobby that is trying to scare the guv and legislators?

Why is Ralph Marek a 1960s TV character? There's no way that's a real dude - at least no way he looks like that.

I had four copies shoved under my door. I guess they though it would four times as effective!

I've been in the office less than an hour and I am already so tired of this place.
