Elections Season Takes a Pause, Special Session Looms

We made it through a rollercoaster primary and runoff this year. Incumbents falling for the right reasons, incumbents targeted by a one-man wingnut parade from San Antonio, and a shakeup in the power base of the legislature. The fallout will be seen fairly quickly as the Special begins next week. Where will loyalties lie? With so many lame-duck legislators will there be any initiative do maybe do what's right for their district instead of what Craddick and his goons tell them to do? Will Senfronia's race for Speaker suddenly become much more realistic with the pissed off and pissed on legislators that have no reason to fear Craddick anymore?

Phillip over at BOR has a wrap up of how the Craddick candidates faired last night. Looking over at the Capitol from my balcony I see the winds of change clearly visible, unfortunately it still smells like cow manure.

Tune in next week, same bat channel, same bat time!
