Gas prices are on the way up again! Analysts in San Antonio say to expect $3 a gallon or maybe even $5! Good thing we're homebound, otherwise we'd be pissed. Suddenly, those Prius pieces of shit don't look so ugly do they?

Prius's are actually really good cars... but yes, they are ugly.

Mike N. at April 10, 2006 10:43 PM

No, the Prius will always be ugly.

$5.00 gas means that we'll be seeing a lot more of those ugly POSes driving around.

The Prius is a great car...one of Consumer Reports Top 10 for this last year.

45mpg in the city, mofos!

Why the hell is it taking our American automakers so long to catch up? It's the freakin' 70's all over again...the Japanese are making small, efficient, reliable vehicles, and the American companies are making huge gas guzzling turds.

Don't get me wrong... Ford, GM and Chrysler are all really bad companies with the worst management teams on the planet. However, the problem is refining capacity and tax credits.

Some of the increase in oil prices are simply trading increases. Those will work themselves out . The event risk that's been added to the price of crude is going to harder to overcome as is the decline in the dollar (though that's mitigated somewhat). However, gas prices should still be lower, and would be, if we had have additional refining capacity.

Both Clinton and Bush Admin's bear responsibility.

Holly shit Trey has realized that there is no difference between republicans and democrats???

Mike N. at April 11, 2006 11:03 AM

Not what I'm saying at all, Mike. You have a bad tendency to see what you want. Quit that.

original TREY at April 11, 2006 11:31 AM

Hooray for high gas prices. That plus a lot more toll roads will hopefully get people to drive less, which will reduce emissions and congestion.
