This is PinkDome's official welcome wagon for Rep. Howard. You know you've arrived when you've made a bad photoshop on PinkDome.

I saw Rep. Howard today and she was a nice as she could be. Best of luck to her!

Donna Howard is not only better looking than Bernadette Peters, she's also keenly intelligent and about to make a real difference in the Texas House -- and not a moment too soon.

It will be interesting to watch how she votes on issues besides education.

She seems like a nice enough and smart enough person, but there are bound to be times when the Dem party line conflicts with the will of her consituents in 48.

sorry, make that constituents

newswatching at March 30, 2006 2:32 PM

newswatching - who cares? believe it or not, the dems do occasionally allow their party members to vote their districts and not the party. it's rare, i'll give you that, but it does happen - particularly in swing districts. they give Patrick Rose some latitude on that, and they'll give it to Donna Howard, too.
Unlike the Rs, who bitchslap anyone from a moderate district who tries to vote their district. Witness Charlie Geren.
