The Texas Impact, the Lone Star Chapter of the Sierra Club, Environment Texas, Public Citizen and the Texas Center for Policy Studies all came together to give ideas for increasing tax revenue for Texas schools. Guess what? Tax pollution! Since we've given up on reducing pollution we might as well make money off of it!

This is truly out-of-the-box thinking. In this vein, PD has some additional ideas for taxation:
Tax rudeness (we'd make a fortune!)
Special Tax on Political Rhetoric (Sliding scale based on bullshit level of discourse)
The Whining Tax (This would probably only apply to Democrats)
A 50% tax on all suspect campaign contributions from one millionaire wacko in San Antonio
