Thursday Roundup

Tommy Merritt reframes the conservative debate as rural vs. suburban, rather than whatever the hell Leininger has been schlepping around town. Quoth Merrit: "We're pretty much rural Texas versus suburban pieces of Texas along the I-35 corridor".

Lufkin Daily News has an editorial where they take issue with Wayne Christian wallowing in Leininger's cash. Nice to know the local papers are pointing that out.

Startlegram gives a break down of the Republican civil war. They detail the Leininger 5, the Parent PAC races, and those dumbasses at Texans for Texas that think Talton and Howard aren't conservative. For the record, I hope that Leininger goes down in flames, that the Parent PAC racks up some wins and that the Texans for Texas keep their heads up their asses and keep targeting that ass-hat Talton.

Jason Embry does a post-mortem on Tuesday's election and offers hope for Dems in the future. Then Gardner Selby interviews the same people and goes off on why he thinks Bentzin will have a chance come November.

Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio react to being possible choices for the RNC in 2008.

A Houston TV station is refusing to air a pro-Delay ad. Read Kuff for a good analysis.

Oppel likes Bentzin (they run into each other at the same private clubs and society benefits, don't you know). The AA-S will keep his name in the public eye whether it's a strectch or not.
