
Strayhorn reminded Governor Perry that Texas students ranked 49th in the country in verbal scores on the SAT in 2005 and 46th in average math SAT scores.
She felt compelled to do so after Perry painted the rosiest of pictures about the Texas public education system to a group of business leaders.
Let's all guess: Is Perry self-medicating or are these delusions the result of some awesome prescriptions!

I hate the way politicians talk about those "rankings" as if we were too stupid to understand the complexities and pitfalls of comparing one state to another based on scores. Okay, some people really are too stupid to understand it, but still.
