Bad news, there are no winners. Their inability to work together has brought us some eye-gougingpopping moments this past year or so. The latest is the funding for church sponsored nursing homes. The DMN story should get an award for Understatement of the Year with this gem:

And some worry that their head-butting doesn't bode well for an upcoming special legislative session on school finance.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the DMN for sneaking in a dig at Governor Perry in the article. When the funding to these nursing homes was in jeopardy, Perry attempted to come to the rescue of 'affluent' patients in nursing homes but decided those on Medicaid could go suck an egg. Brilliant, DMN, Brilliant!
