I know it was you firdo! You broke my heart! Lets get a taco.

Wonk at February 2, 2006 9:41 AM

Is it possible to insult Henry without the racial epithets? Hate the man for whatever political reasons you have, but don't bring his -and my- heritage into it.

Big D at February 2, 2006 10:01 AM

Shut up pussy.

Wonk at February 2, 2006 10:34 AM

d, the history of what conservatives have done and continue to do to hispanics in this state makes cuellar's "heritage" a highly political issue.

txmorris at February 2, 2006 1:17 PM

If that picture - plus the news that Cuellar actually sat on the GOP side of the aisle
to listen to W's State of the Humbug speech - disgusts you,
consider devoting a few bucks to Ciro Rodriguez's campaign to replace the Cuellster.
(Maybe the money you would have spent on lunch, if the picture hadn't cost you your appetite? )

You'll find a contribution box for Ciro on my ActBlue page, at

http://www.actblue.com/list/2006fund

(Some of the other races I profile there may also be of interest.)

chwalker at February 2, 2006 4:00 PM

txmorris, how does the history of what conservatives do to Latinos make it alright for others to use racial comments?

phatant at February 2, 2006 8:35 PM

b.t.w. txmorris, your comment to Bid D, in response to his voicing his opinion about the racist comments made on this site, only perpetuates racism...

phatant at February 2, 2006 8:39 PM

come on, phatant. my point is not that racial epithets are "alright" (where did i write that?) the point is that race IS a political issue in texas.

d says "don't bring his or my heritage into it" - meaning don't talk about hispanics or being hispanic. but how can you talk about issues like education and immigration in this state without talking about hispanics? and how can you talk about cuellar, who sides with a party that perpetually causes detriment to the hispanic community in texas, without talking about the fact that cuellar himself is hispanic?

are racist comments ok? no. are comments about race ok? yes. there's a difference.

txmorris at February 3, 2006 1:19 PM

i hope the good folks at PD don't mind that i just forwarded this picture to kos. =)

anna at February 3, 2006 2:45 PM

Can we poke fun at this bootlicking DINO without bringing gay cowboys into the issue? Obviously these are two manly men engaging in a manly exchange of manly affection.

mark at February 3, 2006 4:06 PM

"Come here you little taco," and "pachuco bitch," are comments posted on this blog denigrating hispanics by using racial slurs. Like I said, hate the man for what he's done but there's no need to call him a "taco" or a "pachuco." That has NOTHING to do with his policy and everything to do with discrimination.

Big D at February 3, 2006 4:10 PM

Big D-

But the commenters are not using those epithets. They are mimicing the words that Bush would be using. And I wouldn't be at all surprised if Bush were to say something along those lines.

elvigy at February 3, 2006 4:17 PM

"I think you and I can do business. I need someone strong like you. I heard you are not happy with the Democratic Party. Want to join me?"

jen at February 3, 2006 5:06 PM

you are so pwned!

aarrgghh at February 3, 2006 5:36 PM

Ay! Let's-a not bring-a the food in-a-to the post-a! Ay!

Dino Linguini at February 3, 2006 6:11 PM

Bush - Didn't Bill and Monica meet like this? Please don't hurt me like she did Bill.
Cuellar - Of course not, let's seal it with a kiss.

Euclid at February 3, 2006 7:09 PM

"Hell no, we won't tell 'em you're Republican. We won't even tell 'em you're Anglo!"

"Keep your distance, but move a bit to my right! I am actually more afraid of black people!"

daveTX at February 4, 2006 12:12 AM

Is this part of the Republican SOTU ritual? Paying public homage to Republicans under cover? I'm really liking these politcal outings.

Innocent Bystander at February 4, 2006 12:23 AM

"You infiltrated the Democratic Party so well they never knew what hit them! Do you know any more Republicans who are willing to run as a Democrat? Heck of a job!
