Ben Bentzin: DOUCHEBAG

Yesterday you saw Susan Combs sending out an email for supporters to go vote for Ben Bentzin. Today it's John Cornyn.

Apparently "The time has come to once again to mobilize and guard against the Democrats' attacks on our conservative values."

As in, "Oh shit, we got spanked and it looks like everyone opened their eyes to what a crock we are, let's see if we can hang on just a little longer"

So yeah, go visit Donna Howard's site, give her some change.

Full text of email when you click permalink...we'll say it one more time, Ben Bentzin: DOUCHEBAG

Dear Raw,

Over a year ago we saw the success of grassroots leadership as we joined together and traveled across the nation to campaign for the re-election of President George W. Bush. The time has come to once again mobilize and guard against the Democrats' attacks on our conservative values.

We're now in the final days of a ferocious battle in Central Texas that could impact ultimate control of the Texas State House of Representatives. One candidate in this race stands out -- my friend Ben Bentzin. Ben Bentzin is a dedicated father and community leader with a clear vision for improving Texas schools.

This race is vitally important. It will determine whether a Republican continues to represent a key district as we head into the special session on school finance this spring. I am asking you, once again, to be a crusader for Republican principles. We need your help this weekend, February 4th and 5th, for the early Voting Task Force. We also must have your help again February 11-14 for the 72 Hour Task Force.

Please contact Travis Griffin or Jeff Mason at the Republican Party of Texas "Victory" Headquarters in Austin at 512-477-9821 or via email at jmason@texasgop.org.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

John Cornyn
U.S. Senator

Just for laughs, y'all google Ben Bentzin. About six results down. Bwahaha. That's so humiliating!

Pinkdome at February 2, 2006 4:33 PM

I don't think this helps your candidate.

anon at February 2, 2006 5:59 PM

Yeah, 'cause all those swing voters are going to look to PD to finally decide where they stand in this race. No offense, PD. :)

the wizard at February 2, 2006 6:53 PM

My candidate? Ain't nobody payin' me to strategize. And the wizard...voters are soooooooo looking to us. Don't fool yourself. Do you have any idea how dead sexy we are?

Pinkdome at February 2, 2006 7:23 PM

totally fuckin' sexy. i don't vote anywhere until i've read my PINKDOME

pixievixen at February 2, 2006 7:39 PM

But you're so indirect and cautious in your commentary. Where do you stand on this race? I can't tell. By the way, Cornyn appears to have sent out the same form letter for Bentzin. Go get 'em Pinkdome.

The Other Guy at February 2, 2006 8:20 PM

Ok, let me just say...the whole reason I do not like Ben Bentzin? His very first announcement when he called liberals whiny and insinuated they all wore Birkenstocks. I fucking hate hippies. You can call me a lot of things...liberal, doesn't hurt...democrat, whatever, been called worse...but Birkenstock wearing hippie? OH FUCK YOU, I hate a fucking hippie! He apologizes for that and I'll retract the douchebag remark. So when you bitch about me calling names...remember who started it. (Yes, I'm that immature.)

Pinkdome at February 2, 2006 8:26 PM

After glancing at his pix one more time I've come to the conclusion that he looks happier fat.

original TREY at February 2, 2006 10:05 PM

Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son.

Dave In A Cave at February 3, 2006 7:51 AM

PD's Ben Bentzin entries on Google are now #5 and #6. Awesome. Dude.

cynical optimist at February 3, 2006 11:17 AM

Please, post a "douchebag" reference every day. We gotta make it to #1 and #2 on Google!

Don't Mess w/ Pink at February 3, 2006 10:10 PM

I haven't been up to anything today. I can't be bothered with anything recently. Nothing seems worth thinking about. I haven't gotten anything done recently, but oh well. Not much noteworthy going on worth mentioning.

Sten15262 at January 10, 2007 11:42 PM

I haven't been up to much today. I've just been letting everything happen without me. Basically nothing seems worth bothering with. I've just been hanging out doing nothing. I just don't have anything to say right now. More or less nothing happening.

Sten29007 at January 13, 2007 9:40 AM

I feel like an empty room, but eh. Nothing seems worth doing. I haven't gotten much done today.

Sten33823 at January 30, 2007 2:39 AM

I just don't have much to say these days, but so it goes. Today was a total loss. I guess it doesn't bother me.

Sten55683 at January 31, 2007 5:25 PM

I've just been staying at home not getting anything done. I guess it doesn't bother me. Shrug. I haven't been up to anything. I haven't gotten much done today.
