El Paso Judge Bill Moody appeared yesterday with Bob Gammage to tout his own run for the Supreme Court. Gammage then took off to do the normal statewide tour thing, you know, what a conventional campaign would do. Bill Moody on the other hand, well he's going to spend the campaign season walking from El Paso to Beaumont, roughly 900 miles.
Moody will probably face Don Willet (who, I might add, is a fuckface) in the November elections. He won't accept a campaign conrtibution over $200 and won't campaign on Sundays. He's calling this the March for Justice. Bill, buddy, while I appreciate a good schtick, this, well this is dumb. Please just run a normal campaign. Please?
I remember how good El Paso looked in my rearview mirror, but Destination Beaumont? That's just plain nuts.
Bill has never been known as the swiftest kid on the block, either as a former first assistant d.a. or as a judge. Period.
