Three chickenshit TV affiliates from Houston are now refusing to air an ad against Tom Delay. The ad was produced by Campaign for America's Future and Public Campaign Action Fund. An excerpt from the article:
"KHOU-TV, a CBS affiliate, announced on its 5 p.m. broadcast that it was skipping the ads because 'not all the claims in the ad could be clearly substantiated from the source material.'
ABC affiliate KTRK-TV and Fox affiliate KRIV-TV also declined to air the spot, which was paid for by Campaign for America's Future and Public Campaign Action Fund."
So this is how it starts. As the first ad buy goes out against Delay in his election campaign, he threatens everybody running media against him with a lawsuit. The uptight head honchos at these stations get scared at the first whiff of a fight, then run scared. These guys need to go out, get laid, smoke a cigarette, then realize Tom Delay isn't the one running their station.
I'd urge all of you to go here and view the ad. Then email it to everyone you know, particularly anyone in the Houston area.
Go here and here to email Houston's ABC and CBS affiliates to put the ads back on the air. Unfortunately, Houston's FOX affiliate doesn't have a contact page or an actual webpage for that matter, simply a nice picture and a thing called PredatorCheck. Now that's news right there.
In the 'legal notices' section of the website, KRIV lists the following email address: kriv@fox26.com. Maybe with some email encouragement they would reconsider the decision not to air the ad.
