We didn't think it was possible for a politician to actually 'learn' something about what the American people want. It's been a long time since we've seen any of them give a damn to be quite honest with you. That's why we're going to beg the media to follow up on this one. Senator Bill Frist (R-TN) said he did learn something from the Terry Schiavo circus. He learned...wait for it... "Well, I'll tell you what I learned from it, which is obvious. The American people don't want you involved in these decisions." (emphasis added, duh)
Get the fuck out! You're kidding me? Americans don't want the government involved in their personal family decisions? Holy Shit! We've hit the motherload here. There's a long list of things Americans do not want the government involved in. Not just 'end-of-life decisions' Senator. Americans do not want the government in their house at all. Quick, let's remember 'rugged individualism' and the 'government is not your daddy.' The government can screw up national defense, the deficit, domestic policy and hurrican relief but when the feds step across the threshold of my house and insert themselves in my personal life and decisions about my family is where I draw the line. This isn't just about pulling the plug on a family member, it's about everything from gay rights to abortion.

HAH! If Frist learned that so well, then why has it not effected the way he votes?

That was awesome. Good work!
This is coming from the party that has always boasted the platform of small government. They want to keep the government of our pockets but our personal lives seem to be fair game.
What a moron.
